Effective: 2 November 2026 · Version 2.0
These terms are an agreement between your organisation and the company below, which runs Arakan. By creating an account or using the platform, you accept them for your organisation and confirm you are allowed to do so.
Arakan is a set of compliance apps for UAE companies and the firms that advise them: tracking obligations and deadlines, keeping evidence and records, bookkeeping and VAT support, board governance and regulatory research. It is a tool for professionals. Unless a feature is clearly marked as an advisory service, it is not legal, tax or accounting advice. Arakan Technology Limited is not regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and does not provide financial services.
Use Arakan only for lawful purposes. Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, bulk-extract or resell the platform's data or logic, try to get around access limits, or upload malicious code. Unauthorised access or extraction may be an offence under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes, and we may suspend access and pursue remedies.
Paid features use credits or a subscription shown in the app before you buy. Prices are in AED and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Trial credits expire as stated in the app. Paid credits and fees are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund or we fail to provide the service.
You own the data and files you put into Arakan. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service. How we handle personal data, which services we use and where data is stored is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time while your account is open and for 90 days after it closes.
The platform, its software, compiled regulatory databases and original content belong to us or our licensors. You may use reports and outputs made for your organisation freely within your business and with your clients.
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but cannot promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for penalties, fines or losses that come from filings or decisions made by you or your advisers, or for indirect or lost-profit losses. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that UAE law does not allow to be limited.
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously broken or payment is overdue, after notice where reasonable. On closing, we keep your data for 90 days for export, then delete it, except records the law requires us to keep.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Both sides will first try to settle a dispute by good-faith discussion; if that fails within 30 days, the DIFC Courts have jurisdiction.
We may update these terms and will give at least 30 days' notice of significant changes by email or in the app. Questions: legal@arakan.ae.
